EXCLUSIVE: Linda Ikeji wanted a dress worthy of museum, says maternity dress designer

It’s no longer news that Linda Ikeji’s maternity shoot before she jet off to Atlanta for her baby shower sent vibrations through the Nigerian fashion world.

One particular dress that stood out was the white feathered dress made by the internationally acclaimed fashion designer, Frank Oshodi.

In an exclusive interview with Rose On All Sides, a television interview series of RosePGraham.com, Oshodi spoke extensively on the gorgeous dress.

“When Linda called me about the dress five months ago, she said she wanted something spectacular,” he said.

On the choice of colour, according to the designer, and because she’s having a baby boy, he had to make the colour either blue and white.

“She didn’t give me any specific design though,” he submitted.

The designer also said he came about the feathers and cufflinks because he wanted something she could still be wearing after delivery, while also putting in mind class.

According to Frank, it took him and his four member team two weeks to work on the masterpiece.

“The first day she saw the dress before I unveiled it to her, she said she was expecting one of the best dresses she ever had; something she probably wants to put in her museum.

“So we went to her house for stitching. When I opened the bag, she screamed in excitement”.

The veteran fashion designer said he was happy she loved the dress and everything turned out well.

The Nigerian multimillionaire, Linda Ikeji, would be delivered of her baby son soon in the United States and we wish her a safe delivery.
